Modernize Your Bedroom with Asian Furniture
In the modern bedroom furniture industry, much attention lately has turned to Asia and what it can bring to bedroom furniture in terms of style, value, and quality construction and materials. Design magazines and websites have applauded Asian design for its contemporary renditions of traditional furniture pieces, and even popular furniture stores have adopted Asian design elements into their own expensive, mass-produced products. Ranging from Japanese design, which features simple, geometric pieces created to minimize distractions and provide a sense of balance to your bedroom, to Indonesian design, which incorporates a romantic tropical island motif to many of its pieces, Asian furniture can provide the right look for almost any indoor space. If you are considering transforming your standard bedroom into a stylish, contemporary space of relaxation and peace, don’t forget about Asian furniture! You may be surprised at the wide range of design possibilities that Asian bedroom furniture provides.
Asian furniture is also versatile in that it comes in a variety of styles and types of furniture. Perhaps most popular today are Japanese platform beds. Platform beds are a design trend that has taken the world by storm, and for good reason. Rather than relying on ugly metal bed frames to support your mattress, platform beds are built to be seen. The sturdy platform eliminates the need for a costly, bulky bedspring while the legs of the bed are made of the same material as the rest of the design – no more dust ruffles! Japanese platform beds are especially popular due to their simple styles and low profile. But Asian furniture is also available in a wide range of other styles as well. Another popular trend adapted from secluded Indonesian bungalows and resorts is the outdoor daybed. Made of weather-resistant material such as teak, the outdoor daybed is perfect for relaxing under the sun or on the porch – it makes relaxing an art form! Asian furniture also comes in the same pieces you would expect from traditionally Western furniture, including nightstands, dressers, chests, plasma TV stands, and armoires.
As if the stylistic elements of Asian furniture weren’t enough, there is actually another important reason to consider it in your redecorating. With the wide selection of Asian furniture available today, there is no reason not to invest in environmentally conscious materials that benefit the environment as they provide you comfort and relaxation. Rubber wood is an ideal material for modern bedroom furniture because it is environmentally friendly and a sustainable product. Rubber trees are continually harvested once they stop producing latex, while plantation owners plant new trees in their place to continue the production of rubber. Instead of this old wood being thrown away, it is used for high-quality furniture, such as platform beds or plasma TV stands, at a reasonable price. Other sustainable wood includes teak, which is also plantation raised and grows very quickly, as well as mahogany and elm, which is often reclaimed and repurposed from old buildings and other structures. By reusing and regrowing materials used in your bedroom furniture, you can rest assured that you have made a conscious decision to preserve our planet’s resources.
For the best quality and best investment, when choosing your Asian furniture make sure that it is handcrafted using centuries-old techniques such as mortise and tenon joinery. This type of construction will ensure that your furniture will last for years to come, instead of traditional mass-producing methods which use techniques such as nails and adhesives, which weaken over time. With the right style and good quality construction, you can expect to use your Asian furniture for a lifetime.

Great way of producing spacious interiors. A house without a furniture is a dumb and dead house. I couldn’t think to live such a house. Great post.
Please keep these excellent posts coming & best of luck!
